My name is Catherine and I am your typical busy working Mum to 3 children. I am a serial dieter (nearly put cereal – that’s how much I think about food).
Most of my adult life I have been overweight and I have only ever found Slimming World to work for me as I can’t do with weighing and counting anything, I have enough of that with the kids! I have rejoined Slimming World several times over the last 10 years due to the fact that I have become pregnant and lost focus so always needed to go back – but those days are over (as Mr K says’ if you need a new car just to fit the children in, you have enough children’). Bah humbug!
At my heaviest, (not pregnant) my weight was over 16 stones, I lost some of this on my own, with SW class support but then I got stuck – I still have that listed on the Wii just for old times sake but now I am almost, almost there, probably a stone or so to go to target and it’s hasn’t been easy and has taken some time but the main thing that has changed is I have finally ‘got it’. It’s not about a diet, it really is a change in your eating habits, I know people ramble on about it but it really is.
Several friends persuaded me to start this blog as they are constantly asking me to just write them a list of meals and recipes they can follow over the weekend to stop them ruining their hard work so now they can just have a look here and see what delicacies or diasters have happened in my world. I’m certainly not perfect, far from it, but I will share both the ‘oops’ moments as well as the good times – please feel free to share anything with me and I will always respond – and if I don’t know the answer to a question, I will try to get an answer to you as soon as possible.
So you will see from all the above blather, my preference is low syn food – that is what I try to cook and will share the recipes with you with as much syn detail as possible (unless I lose count – and then I blame Mr K, or the wine).
